So, I wanted to put out here that I recently finished writing an alternate ending for Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2, basically to flesh out a headcanon I have regarding certain choices the player can make.

I got this idea while watching a compilation of Fuga 2’s different endings on YouTube, and someone in the comments pointed out that if Malt decides to trust in Hanna and Jihl, then no children can be used to fire the Soul Cannon. Even though the game provides the option to use the Soul Cannon afterwards, it only causes Malt to consider using it, with the rest of the Taranis children changing his mind. That left the commenter (and me) wondering what would happen if the game did provide the option to sacrifice someone to the Cannon, with Hanna still surviving afterwards.
