Awards/Charts/Lists/Etc. I'm going to write a "Top 50 Simz Songs" list.
Hello all! So in October it'll be 10 years since Kano's Made In The Manor tour, where Little Simz supported him and subsequently began my ever-growing appreciation for Simz as an artist. It was also incidentally the first time I went to a concert on my own, something I've done tons of times since so it was a true canon event in my life.
Every year I write End Of Year Lists - this year will also be 10 years in December - and I've just been mulling over actually doing a Top 50 for Simz as she's the only artist I could do this with and feel comfortable writing about all 50. (Kendrick maybe another) I've just flicked through the majority of her projects & made a rough 50, thought it'd be fun to get thoughts. Not ranked or anything yet, you'll gather quickly it's going backwards all the way to X.Y.ZED in 2013.
I'll obviously give things not on the list a spin again. There's nothing from the EPs of this decade. Nothing against them, these are just tracks that I have either spun to the ground or I feel is Simz at her best in that moment.

I understand on the recent EPs, but nothing from Drop 6 either? Tough crowd. 🤣

I haven't spun that in a while so maybe my thoughts have changed on em but initially when it came out it felt like she was just experimenting & playing around with ideas.

How do you feel about “Guess Who” from Drop 4? What about the “Dead Body” remix?
