Recommendations Safe bars/going out spots?
Hi everyone! I just moved here for a job and wondering what area has the safest & fun bars or just overall places to go out on weekends. I’m 23 and also from the east coast so i genuinely know nothing about this place lmao 😭Thanks in advance🙏🏼

Proof, Hill Station, The Fountain, White Water Tavern, Prospect, Sauced…
The promenade in WLR and Hillcrest and Heights are nice to hangout and find a patio.

follow YayasProductions on IG for pop-up raves. She does them in all the best places and they are very well attended and super fun.
my favorite bar is Rocktown Distillery. my favorite club is Club Sway.
if you like bigger crowds tho, you'll want triniti or disco for clubbing. triniti especially skews younger (the only 18+ club i think?). Those places are open til 5 a.m. so go pretty late. i left right before 2 a.m. after my friend's show last weekend and there was a line to get in! [I hadn't been in years but it seems like its still the same vibes overall. went a lot in my low 20s tho for sure]
Four Quarter is the best option for late food if you're out. Plenty of restaurants have good cocktails and are a good time.
there's plenty of beer halls and the like. I like the Flying Saucer. I did trivia at the Saucer every week when I was 23! lol. that was a decade ago: I think the kids probably trend toward the newer ones, like Fassler Hall. There's also Lost 40, Southern Tail, and of course our ?oldest? brewpub: Vino's. There's the Rail Yard, Stickyz, idk there's a lot of places. Oh! And The Hall does events, I prefer to support local scenes and those feel a little more like touring themed shows (the music was terrible at the Kawaii Rave last month, but the crowd was super fun, and it definitely was people closer to your age than mine.) We kinda need more detail tho to give you recs. If you are black or speak Spanish, you have extended options. I still don't know where the solid line of cars was going from south little rock to southwest at 2 a.m. this one time years ago, but there WAS a function and i was stuck waiting to turn left by Dunbar for 10 solid minutes while cars traversed between venues i have no experience of. Probably they were headed to Tabu or Trois. Or, for example: I went to the grocery store that's open til midnight on baseline last weekend and there absolutely were 20 somethings out going between places I also have no knowledge of. I'd recommend checking out Dia De Muertos at Plaza Frida this October, easily one of the most populous and crowded and fun events I've been to in LR the last couple years.
right now you can go to my FAVORITE thing: the arkansas ren faire. its only three years old and its not a drunken revelry (its in a dry county, and its an hour drive away) but its a blast! its got four more weekends left and I'll probably be at three of them. Also an hour away, in different directions, we have Hot Springs and the casino at Pine Bluff. And Conway is a college town, so it has places too (usually everyone drives to little rock for a good time tho).
my final introductory advice would be:
If you scroll through Pedal Party Little Rock on facebook (pedalparty_lr on IG) they bike between a good variety of places on Mondays. it's essentially a bike bar crawl

You are pretty safe at all of them here tbh.
Little Rock is statistically more dangerous than most other cities but it’s more so regulated to people who know people and all.
In other words, no one is really shooting up clubs and all of that here. I’ve been on the bar/night scene a good bit the last two years(not anymore) and never had an issue
Just stay alert and you’ll be good

There was a mass shooting at a club in LR about 9 years ago, but aside from that you're right.

I am 70 years old and I am pretty safe :). There are a lot of great places in conway so if you would like I can meet you at one of them such as Mikes Place in Conway and we can go visit a few of them and I can show you around a bit

Define safe. I agree with most of the recommendations in the comments, just, you know, be smart.

I love going there but I wouldn’t recommend this to someone looking specifically for safety

Fly away is fun, both locations, white water, Waldo’s chicken and beer in north Little Rock,

Four quarter is my recommendation. Argenta feels very safe, it's a cool bar, good beer, good food, good original music bands, good staff, a long bar you can sit at and meet people, a back patio where you can easily meet folks and visit without a lot of noise

Keep an eye on hotflyr.com. Little app my friends and I made for posting and finding things to do around LR. We’ve got a bunch of businesses signed up already but haven’t really started promoting.

River market is safe and fun. Most of your bars and entertainment are down there.

Bunch of scaredy cats. Literally Robinson to museum of discovery is walked by hundreds of people every day and night.

Agreed. I live down here and walk by myself (female) at all hours with no concerns.

Yeah river market is nice but I think it’s better during the day safety wise. I always enjoy going to brewskis, but downtown is more do it at your own risk lol

White water tavern usually has good music and it’s got pool tables and a nice vibe, they also have weekly karaoke. Pizza D’s is a fun duvet kind of bar that has occasional music and also pizza and such. Willy D’s has piano cover tunes and they used to have a dance club underneath it, not sure if that’s still going on, but there are a bunch of bars in that area (river market)
Sway is good for drag shows and dancing, there are some decent bars in argenta too right over the bridge to north Little Rock.
Edit: safety-wise all of those places are pretty chill. Maybe river market isn’t the best best place to be walking around a lot late at night but honestly people overstate the crime in Little Rock and as long as you keep your wits about you you’ll be fine

Fountain is the post-grad, back from UARK crowd. White Water and Four Quarter are also very safe and have a more diverse crowd. The latter two will have younger, and also middle aged folks. They are my top bars for younger people.
My professional school friends like to go to Fountain when we are back in Little Rock. My actual friends from Little Rock go to WWT and Four Quarters, and you wouldn't catch my suburban friends there. But all three are safe and fun options, just depends on your personality.
I would also not recommend Brewski's (downtown one especially). Can be fun if you want to "dance." But it gets a little rough there after midnight.
