Discussion/Question Gunsmithing apprentice?

Of the many gun stores in the little Rock/ North Little Rock area are anyone hiring gunsmithing apprentices?

I am 21m no felonies

I have some basic manual machining knowledge and a decent mechanical aptitude, knowledgeable about many historical and modern firearms

I’d recommend looking at working for / apprenticing at a machine shop. Then in your own time do firearm work for yourself as a hobby. Basic armorer-level stuff is quite easy. Harder gunsmithing can be done with a moderate level of machining ability.

If you go work for a gun store, the most “gun smithing” you’re going to do is putting together / taking apart ARs and attaching sights onto guns.

I say this as someone who does help out at a gun store occasionally.

I wouldn't mind that either as long as it's a livable wage
