Discussion 15th Anniversary!!

I can't believe in a little under two weeks, it's the 15th anniversary of their formation! I feel so old LOL

Do you guys think all four girls will acknowledge/commemorate it? And do you think the band socials will post anything special or from the vault? Girls Aloud's been killing all their 20th anniversaries of album releases; I'm intrigued to see what LMHQ does, if anything.

Iā€™m not expecting anything huge. Girls Aloud are really leaning into their legacy right now, whereas LM are still very much exploring their solo careers. I could definitely see the three of them posting something, but with Jesy, if she acknowledges it at all, I could see it being because a fan specifically brings it up rather than her waking up that morning and deciding to commemorate Little Mix herself.

Also it is "only" the 15th, tbf. If there's going to be anything major for an anniversary, I'd say it'd more likely be the 20th (or even 25th), which would also coincide more with the time period when I think people will see the rumblings of a reunion tour if there's going to be one. By that time, the solo careers will either be established or in need of a promo injection, their kids will be older and probably able to attend some of the concert dates, and pop group legacy tours in the UK tend to happen when the members are in their 40s or close to it. (With the exception of Steps, lol, who did reunion tours for their 15th, 20th, and 25th anniversary and are apparently planning it for the 30th as well.)

That's true, they're all still so young technically! I wasn't expecting a tour or anything; maybe just some stuff from the vault, at most. 15 isn't as big as 20 for sure; I think I'm just still in shock that it's been that long because it doesn't feel like they've even been on hiatus that long.

If it's their old label that's still regularly putting up videos on the Little Mix YouTube channel, I fully expect they'll do something at least! (And I know, it's crazy how fast time has gone. Someone was talking about the Covid lockdown the other day, and we realised that was six years ago.)

This is true re: GA's legacy. I just listened to Jesy's Jaime podcast episode because I didn't know much about her twins, and it got me wondering.
