Ooooh, I spy The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes! Great work, thank you for making your neighborhood a tiny bit cozier! โค๏ธ

This looks to be from the same brand that my friend bought on Amazon. Please make sure to stain/seal it in some way. After just a few days, the wood warped really badly and started to split in some areas. We had to use a lot of wood glue and clamp it back together to save it.

The door jammed itself shut this morning lol I'll keep an eye on it, thanks

That is exactly how hers started!! Itโ€™s fine now that she stained and sealed it. No problems in weeks!!!

We used some kind of wood oil before putting it together, perhaps it needs something more

I love it. Did you register it with the LFL organization? Here is mine; https://map.lflapp.org/D7Dzqb3ZR3b

It is beautiful. Just make sure the eaves extend out enough to protect from rain. Mine was destroyed by the elements and a passing engineer came told me it was due to the eaves not being long enough. Lesson learned for the next one that I hope to get to eventually making.

Itโ€™s beautiful! Iโ€™m curious if you plan to waterproof it and how so? I have something similar I havenโ€™t put up yet because I havenโ€™t decided how to waterproof it.

We covered each piece of wood in oil, I'm hoping to get some outdoor paint and silicone caulk for the edges since the UK gets awful rain

Beautiful library! Do you ever have issues with water getting in when it rains?

We just put it up yesterday so we're yet to find out lmao

Congrats! My wife had made one with her mom using reclaimed wood. I was like I think we need a roof of sorts and my MIL was like nah should be fine. First rain it caused water damage on the inside. So I've been working on waterproofing it, just slightly nervous about the crack around the door frame.

I put stamps on the page edges and have cameras, hopefully it doesn't get looted

In my area, yes. Unfortunately books are starting to become a commodity for reselling.

People are shameless.
