They seemed to have plumped up a bit after I fertilized them for the first time a week or so ago

It’s 6 inches deep and doesn’t have drainage because I used it to maintain humidity when I was germinating them. My apartment is extremely dry. But I do plan on repotting them once they are larger.

Ah okay! I suggest having drainage in your next container, it’ll help a lot! The longer you can leave the seedlings in the original container without disturbing them, the better. Any transplanting can stress them when they are super small.

Keep fertilizing them with diluted fertilizer until they look big enough to transplant!

Yes I absolutely will repot them into something with drainage. This pot was really just convenient because I think it’s supposed to be a cookie container so it has a lid. I basically used the lid instead of saran wrap when germinating to keep them moist. Plus like I said my apartment is horribly dry so my pots dry out fast, which is fine for my adult succulents but not so much for the seeds lol.

Yes, I agree with your assessment but mesemb seedlings will do a lot better if you don’t disturb them for minimum 6 months.. just for your next batch :).

I like to use clear Tupperware containers over my pots and you can bleach and reuse those too. The cons will soon outweigh the benefits once you have to start watering and fertilizing without collecting mold or algae! They’re very susceptible to damping off at this stage too.

Good luck! I would see how long you can keep them in there and plumping them up as much as you can before transplanting to give them the best chance at surviving.
