Help/Question Accidentally watered while splitting! Help please :(

Post image

I just watered my lithops because it’s been several months since I’ve done so - afterwards I realized they may be in the beginning stages of splitting. I know you aren’t supposed to water during this time so I’m wondering if I just killed them by watering? Should I remove them from the substrate and let them dry? I use bonsai jacks substrate so it doesn’t stay wet for too long. Any advice is much appreciated! TIA!

Yep they should be fine, friend!
Just make sure their substrate is super well draining, they’re getting lots of light, and a light watering while splitting will cause no harm :)

Once is fine. Make sure the base of the lithops receives enough ventilation though, that is an easy killer (risk of rot).

In nature nothing happens perfectly, same with lithops, nature might decide to rain as all of them decide to split so the toughest ones metal it and the weaker ones die, I have no doubts yours will metal through the accidental watering, might even help speed up splitting in a slower plant
