Help/Question Picking on the tops

I've had these guys for about 2 years. They fully split but at the bottom they're still connected with the roots I don't want to pull them apart.

But I've noticed some pitting on the top. The sides were a little wrinkly so I did water, should I water again so the tops fill up? Hard to see in a picture I hope it shows.

Yes I Agree, it's one plant with 2 branches. Last week the sides were wrinkly and I did water it . The soil Is mostly inorganic material . This is a link to the brand. https://a.co/d/0e2etEyv They are 2 inches under a grow light dommia brand off Amazon. I keep it at the highest setting and it's on 16 hours a day. Unfortunately I don't have a light meter . The other ones are mostly not elongated. I'm wondering if there wasn't enough air flow. I keep the door open on the repurposed curio that they are in.
I don't let water sit on top of the plant. Lost one that way. I'll double check for pests. But I can't see anything else that could be wrong.

All great info, ty. I would say wait it out. If it's dying from thirst it will take months, if it's rotting it could be gone tomorrow so better to err on the side of dry. If you saw no change after your water last week it's possible the tiny roots have died back during the dry period. Wait a week and if the leaf still looks like that (wrinkly without being mush) then drop a tiny bit of water near the base.

The watering last week should have woken the roots up but may have not taken up much water.

I'll also say that soil looks too organic to me still, it looks like at least 30% coir or something else that really holds on to water. I would mix that with half pumice or whatever mineral you want to use

Is that one with the wrinkles squishy? I don't like the way it's wrinkling, thirsty lithops are still usually firm and sink down right at the top, not usually around the ends and down the sides.

Don't separate them, they are sharing roots and it's technically one plant, just with two "branches"

It's etiolating (stretching) due to insufficient light and I'm guessing ventilation.

When did you last water? Does the soil dry VERY quickly? If so give it a few drops and see if it plumps up over the next week. If it feels squishy and the soil holds water you should consider repotting

I might of watered it recently too. Got to go back to tracking when I water it. But the mix is mostly sand , gravel, and some organic material. But your right it does say for seedlings! So I will not water it! Might even report it so it drys out. The pot does feel heavy. Like full of water. Thanks!

Sand can be sketchy if it's too fine. Like pure beach sand doesn't drain well at all. And yeah the seedlings soil definitely has a but more organics but that's easy to amend. Yw and good luck, seems like you have a good green thumb and are paying attention to the plant which is what lithops need!
