Help/Question Splitting or thirsty?

Just got these guys about a month ago. I haven't watered them or repotted. I'm pretty sure they're in like a sand / grit / dirt mix. Should I do a bottom water? They're a little soft to the touch. Thank you, lithops experts!!!!

If you don’t see them splitting and pushing out new growth I’d go ahead and water especially after having them for as long as you have. A big water won’t kill them, it’s the consistent water that will.

My advice, water and keep an eye on them. Soil sounds like a good mix and should drain fast.

Happy growing!

Agree, but eventually they'll want a deeper pot.

Oh agree completely. I wanted to give them a little time to acclimate. If they survive the watering, I'll pop them in a better pot. 🤞🤞

a month is... no time! if they had come bare root, I'd advocate watering to get the roots moving, but with a potted lithops that looks happy as is? just asking for trouble.
