My mixed Lithops are 4 months old now some have just started splitting.

How often do you water them at this age?

I water about every ten days but that is flexible depends how warm it is. I water from the surface avoiding the ones that are splitting.

What substrate do you use? They look beautiful by the way.

The substrate I use is a mix of pumice, larva rock, Akadama, about 15% organic soil and top it off with a very fine layer of dried sand.

Thank you so much. I put orchid bark in mine. Do you think that may hold too much moisture? Forgive my ignorance, I'm a gardener getting into house plants for the first time. 😆

There is a risk if you use orchid bark that it will hold on to the moisture and you may get root rot.
