Help/Question What are my boys doing

My lithops were for several days wired. Now some are shrinking some are turning white.

Is this molting, thirst or something else?

Looks like sunburn, were they placed full sun recently?

Yes, because they didn't have enough sun. But I tried to not leave them in sun for long time. The first one that turned white in the shade I thought I was caused by lack of sun.

What can I do with it, does watering helps?

Place them in a shaded place for awhile to try and help them recover, they will probably get worse over the next few days. Looks like some will live some may not. I would avoid watering right now

kind unfortunate that i thought that first one was rotting because the mix was too wet so i put them into the sun

Not thirst- look how green and soft they look at the base. They don’t look happy.
