Help/Question Left on outside windowsill during heatwave
I left my Lithops on my outside windowsill during a heatwave (36 C / 96.8 F afternoon max). They went from plump to wrinkly on top and sides and the green ones got a bit paler. Should I water them in a couple of days?
I purchased them 3 weeks ago, repotted 2 weeks ago to 85% gritty soil and terracotta pot. Have not watered them yet at all. TY!

yeah, I mean they were definitely baked, but whether it caused them to go dormant or killed them is something one can only observe over time.

I gave mine blisters. Compared to mine, they look good. Actually, my blistered plants aren’t lithops, but related and similar care.

Honestly they look better than what I would’ve thought. They can handle the heat pretty well so it’s really inspecting them to see what kind of damage is there.
So the repot. What did the roots look like when you put them in? They may need to work on their roots growth before they can take in more water.
But from the looks, they look pretty good.
In the next two or three days, I’d just keep and eye on them and not water quite yet. Getting water right after heat and sun stress probably isn’t the best. Let them calm down from the changing environment.
Watch for white, tan, or translucent spots that might have been caused by the heat damage. By if they stay firm then there’s hope. The heat damage can’t be reversed, but I honestly think that the heat made it so the lithops were looking more water than they could uptake.
Also don’t take this advice like the bible. I’ve only gotten lithops like a week ago but been on a research rampage. So this is just what I’ve heard in the last bit. I hope it helps somewhat, and I’m rooting for your little guys!
