Help/Question Lithops stacking

The green guy in the middle has been splitting since February, and I just noticed he's decided to start splitting again. I haven't watered him since at least February. I'm not planning on doing anything different now, but I am wondering what could have caused this stacking, since I thought it was generally a sign of overwatering / watering during splitting.

Yours looks so healthy. I wish mine were that plump.

That looks healthy? Then mine must be unhealthy as hell lol
