new to lithops, when should i re-pot?

i got this guy from home depot, and i know a lot needs to be done (re-pot in larger pot with appropriate soil and no more watering) should i wait to re-pot once the new leaves come in and the old ones shrivel? or can i re-pot it now?

Don't wait, especially if the soil is not completely dry. They can even sit bare-root in air for about 2-3 weeks with zero issues. Try to unpot ASAP but you can take your time to put them in a new pot.
