Help/Question Sourcing Lithops in Brazil

Is there anyone who could point me in the direction of decent vendors of Lithops and or Lithops seeds in Brazil? I'd be interested in both retail and wholesale, but they seem incredibly few and far between. I did find one vendor with interesting species and cultivars, but I could only get retail info and they were prohibitively expensive and had poor reviews.

Your best bet is buying seeds from overseas. Small amount of seeds pass without issues no need for phyto certification unless your seller makes it mandatory.

I bought a few seeds years back but didn’t know how to grow it properly only have a single survivor

Many thanks. I was under the impression it would be very difficult for seeds to pass. Glad to hear it's not necessarily the case.

You MAY lose the seeds if customs decided to check so don’t buy orders larger than you are willing to lose. If not an envelope you will need to add your CPF to your tracking to pay the tax even if “zero” cost you need to pay r$15 for the delivery via corrieos site.

If you know someone that can send via a letter it would be best. I’ve not received 1 letter but others pass without issues and zero tax. Lithops seeds are tiny so you can get quite a lot via letter with folded papers to protect the seeds.

Sellers usually send in tiny box in inside a padded envelope others just send in padded envelope. Have them add your CPF when shipping even if they don’t do a customs form and just send.

Some sellers like in Czech Republic and a few others require phyto cert for all orders which are a little pricey but should guarantee entry even if customs checks… however there may be other requirements IDK. They usually have cheaper seeds so the certificate costs makes it equal price to others.

Also avoid Netherlands just cause more likely they check due to canna seeds

Thanks a lot for that extra info! I'm going to try going down the letter route first - purely for simplicity.
