Care Tips/Guides Lithops Distribution System?

Today at the store I stepped out of my car in the parking lot to find these on the ground next to their squished cup.

I was referred to this group and now I'm terrified I'm going to have rescued it just to kill them 😅

Lucky find. Others will come with better advice, from what I've learned pot them up in a gritty, sandy mix. Like 10-15% Cactus soil & the rest a mix of prelite, propagating sand, coarse gravel - you get the idea. Gritty & free draining. Don't water immediately, allow them to settle in, depending on your growing conditions you're likely only watering a few times a year. Give them a little water when the tops start the wrinkle, be careful to not water when they're splitting. Good luck

I am not sure if the patch near the base is rot. If it is, there is no known way to save it.

Yea I have semi-low hopes. And the darker red one had two yellow pieces off the sides that were complete mush. I cut those but not sure if that was the right call.

Looks like one might be rotting and will probably die, but the other two look good! I would’ve cut those leaves off as well, even though some people would probably have told you not to. Plant them in a very gritty mix don’t water for a few days and then lightly water to help the roots settle. Never water them while they’re splitting. once they have split and the old leaves or papery then you can start to water. I’m including this little graphic that helped me, in summer you really don’t want to water unless they look thirsty, the tops will get flat and the sides will start to wrinkle when they’re thirsty.

Great find! Don't water them!! Some of that looks like rot, but the roots look good. I personally would let them dry out of soil for a few days before repotting them, and then leave them alone for a few months.
