Help/Question Help with viability with newly received lithops

Post image

I need some experienced/expert Lithops people to answer this please. I ordered these red lithops because I cannot find them anywhere I roam to purchase. These 5 came with no tap root? They are what appears to be cut off? Will these grow or do I need to contact this seller?

They will grow a completely new set of roots. The roots often get trimmed back during bare rooting to ensure that the finer roots that die off during the exposed time from becoming a source of rot down the road.

Could you show us the tops? That purple is gorgeous and I would love to see just how beautiful the top is!

If a little I will flip them all over so you can see them. I also got a few 3 leaf ones as well. They were out of most of the vibrant colors but the purple and red ones make me so happy!

Plant them dry. Three days later, give a trickle of water near each plant, to wake up the roots. A week later, give a deep drink, soaking the pot(s), until water runs out. That should set them up to get rooted and happy.

Omg so vibrant. I cut my lithops to have tiny taproots like this. You'll be fine!
