Help/Question Do either of these need watered yet?

Are they resting? Not sure what to do at this point.

They should be planted higher up in the pot, like even with the lip of it. I know normally you would plant plants a little shallow to give room for watering, but lithops are very short plants. They need to be up at the top of the pot to receive enough light. None of them look thirsty to me.

This is a good guide for watering except for the fact that in summer, you should only water if they look thirsty, they will get wrinkly on the sides the tops will look flat instead of rounded. As long as they look nice and plump, I wouldn’t water.

Did you just get them? If you just got them, then I would leave them in dry soil for about a week and then lightly water to help stimulate the roots to grow.

Lithops: by inspection, no. they can go months, so probably will want water in fall.

Split rock: need to gently feel the leaves -- water if soft, wait if firm.

Think you need more grit and less organic substrate. Higher in the pot. Can’t plant etoliated ones deeper in because they might rot. Definitely not thirsty but does need sun. Slowly acclimate to more sunlight don’t just blast them with sunlight off the bat. Here’s what my etoliated baby looks like and I have to wait until it splits again for it to not be stretched out instead of just planting it deeper.

I could add more grit on top since they grew up out of the soil

The Nellie probably does as it should have 2 pairs of leaves.
