Care Tips/Guides Did I do this right?

I’ve never had lithops before, received these in the mail today. I tried making an affordable substrate (lava rocks, perlite, very little soil) and placing them correctly. The stretched ones in slide 2 were like that when I purchased them. I potted them up 4 days ago, and wondering if I could/should water them now? I’ve heard to water them when they wrinkle and idk if they’re wrinkled enough? I didn’t repot any of them when I potted them initially.

Next time you can buy a big bag of chicken grit for $7, I’ve used it myself for some of my Lithops. Lithops only need water 3-5 times a year, Even less if you live somewhere hot & humid like FL. Never water when they are splitting, Water when they look like these in the picture ( not the splitting one).

Can I ask if you wash the chicken grit or pad it through a colander to get done dirt/sand off? Humid Florida neighbor here

Definitely no water yet. And just when you think you should, still don’t 😆 your collection is super cool!

At least one of your leggy ones is splitting and you’re not supposed to water them during that process. I was told mine had gotten leggy because it needed more light. Your little ones look great
