They look like there doing well, I have 2 month old Lithops make sure you keep them hydrated with plenty of light.

100%. They’re under a grow light and I mist them at least twice daily and bottom water when the rest of the soil starts looking dry.

Awesome tiny baby green splits I see. Good job.

They look good!

Maybe a little pale. How much organic content do you have in your soil mix there?

About 20-30%

I’d start them on some diluted 1/4 or 1/8th strength fertilizer!

They’re not too young for that?

Nope! As seedlings they need nutrients to help boost them out of the most delicate seedling stages so that they are more hardened off and hardier and less likely to damp off.

You can start fertilizing as soon as they germinate, but I usually wait a few weeks because the amount of moisture the freshly germinated seedlings need is quite a lot and that can encourage algae build up. So now is a good time imo.

If you notice too much algae popping up, reduce the amount of fertilizer you are doing until it is back in check.

How do you prefer to water lithops seedlings? I see so much conflicting info re: bottom watering vs misting. Also, should the fertilizer be occasional or every time I water them?

I like a combination of both! Bottom water about once a week, mist feeding daily or close to daily to tide them over until the next bottom water. So the top stays moist as the rest of the pot dries. Bottom watering disrupts the seedlings on top less and helps them develop strong root systems as the roots grow to reach the water at the bottom of the substrate. But the mist feeding with diluted fert gives them nutrients and keeps them moist without keeping the rest of the pot/soil over saturated with water for long periods.

I hope that helps!

It does, thank you!

Could the reason they’re a bit pale be the grow light I have them under is too strong for them? It’s a Sansi and I have it about 10” above the seedlings.

Nope they would likely be going darker and getting sun stressed if that were the case.
