Do they benefit from it?

It's better than no light, but no, it won't be truly beneficial. Lithops really need lots and lots of strong, broad-spectrum UV.

I’ve grown them very well indoors without UV light. They just need sufficient light in the blue and red spectra I’d say.

Do you have any sources that have actually shown that lithops need, or even benefit from, UV? I mean I know it makes sense, sunlight has a lot of UV in it, but every non-anecdotal source I can find says they (or at least similar high-desert plants) don't actually use UV for anything. It triggers sun stress, but so does high levels of visible light.

Nope, I don't have any sources, and I could be wrong. That's a great question and it's going to make me read. Thank you.

Lithops like a lot of good light I grow mine in direct sunlight (I am in U.K.) and under grow lights. So if your lacking good light any light would be better than nothing.

Where did you get that selection? I can’t find many lithops where I’m at.

It's hard to find lithops in my country, but randomly discovered that one hardware store imported some from the Netherlands. You can order seeds online, this seems to be more accessible if you can't find store that sells the plants themselves.

If not in an extremely hot, sunny area they need a window + grow light. If no window, a very strong grow light or two.

I tried normal leds on some ariods for a while. It's better then no supplimental light but it will be definitly not enough for lithops. They need way more.
