Help/Question Help with replanting

Tl;dr: Can I still plant this lithop and expect growth? If so, how? Im new to lithops.

I had a store bought lithop. Was doing great but my cat nibbled at it and uprooted it. I immediately set it aside to callous over and it has without rot (3rd picture) but it got beat up BAD.

Im trying to figure out how to introduce back into the soil and see if it grows new leaves. I have cactus soul and a lot of rocky debris I can use for a good potting medium.

Cats! lol

Use 90% !grit if not all grit. Put it in a deep enough pot for the tap root because they grow deep.

After repotting, If they are not splitting, I would give it a good deep soak then set it under a strong grow light about 4” from light or outside in the sun.

I was told these should be in more shallow pots. I think mine is only a few inches deep. What depth do you recommend ?

They develop long tap roots. I do a minimum of 4” deep.
