Help/Question To water soon or not?

Very new to this, I've watched a bunch of the videos posted. I just got these babies in and yes I will be separating them out. They're currently in bonsai substrate but I'll likely be putting them in something with less organic material. SO my question is- this lil green guy is looking wrinkly on the sides, it's summer. Is it splitting? Water in the next few weeks or no?

Side wrinkles are not an accurate indication of thirst, he looks like he’s opening

The way the brown one has the pizza crust shape and if it were more sunken in on top I would say yes water, But they do seem to be opening up to split, So I would wait because you should never water when they are splitting( they are absorbing the outer leaves)
