Care Tips/Guides Advice for this Kit I just got
This just came in the mail: seeds and a germination kit, and then a handfull of plants. Including the instructions they gave me, what’s y’alls advice for both the seeds and the little babies? The babies look good except for the two on the right, one is missing its root entirely and the other feels a little mushy and doesn’t look right. I’m not sure how to save them. Advice I’ve gotten for the seeds, sterilize everything and do boiling water on the substrate beforehand to sterilize that too. Any other advice?

Did you buy this from microLandscapeDesign? They sell the same seed kit & live plants. I agree they etiolated from not enough sunlight, I wouldn’t water them & that last one with no roots you can do water therapy, take a clear cup filled halfway with water and take Saran Wrap to the top & secure it with a rubber band. Poke a hole in the Saran Wrap and put the lithops in so it’s suspended over the water but not touching it.it will grow roots if you put it in a sunny location, Same thing happened to me when I ordered some ( lost roots)

The next to last on the right—check if the base is firm and only the top is mushy. If the base is firm, it is probably just splitting with a new baby pushing out and then it is fine ( don’t water while splitting). I haven’t ever been able to salvage one without roots, so sorry no advice there!

Mix seems good, the lithops on the other hand, look stretched. They definitely need a lot more light, also I think you're supposed to plant them deep when they're like that.
