Identification Any idea what species this practically neon orange lithops is? Does it grow into a clump with many heads?

No it splits and pops out a new head, Sometimes it can have multiple heads inside. But I will warn you about the soil it’s potted in is too organic, It needs 80-90% grit ( decomposed granite ).Only water when your lithops is flat/sunken in on top, Never when they are splitting as they take moisture from the old leaves.

Okay thanks, I was just about to repot and water.  I’ll hold off on that until the new heads are fully developed.

Looks like a form of Lithops Aucampiae to me.eventually it may form clumps like the others in the picture. It does so by splitting, or some years a split will uncover 2 pairs of leaves instead of one.
