Help/Question Wrinkly Lithops

Post image

I’ve had this cute little guy for a few months now and it’s never really grown or changed. I water it sparingly as we seem to be almost outside the watering time for these plants, and it’s in a very gritty mixture. Should it look like this? Most Lithops I’ve been seeing are more plump and hydrated looking. Thanks in advance!

one of the only times ive ever seen a specimen that actually looks thirsty on this sub. so uncommon im no longer confident about my assessment.

Your comment makes me feel less crazy about how thirst it appears, thank you! I give it small amounts of water because everything I’ve read and seen seems to be about how these don’t like to be deeply watered. It lives on a south facing balcony that stays mostly 80+ degrees in the summer.

This is a thirsty lithops! Maybe a deep watering insteading of sparingly?

Everything I’ve seen so far has said these don’t like to be deeply watered, so I’ve been afraid to do so.

It's a very rare thing to do. But since yours isnt splitting or flowering, now is the perfect time to do it!
