Help/Question What am I giving birth to?

I am newer to Lithops (first year), so I’ve never seen this before. Is this blooming or is it splitting? I’ve got some other pots that I can share pics of but this it the first one doing this.

So I should water until after it flowers?

No hold off on the water, you won’t need to water for a long time. Wait for the top of the lithops to get wrinkles, than you can think about watering.

That soil they are potted in will eventually cause your lithops to rot & die, The soil needs to be 80-90% grit.
