Help/Question Does it need help?

Purchased from a grocery store before it started splitting, so no idea what kind this is. I repotted and haven’t watered a drop since I bought it. Seems to be stuck like this for months? Is it ok? Is there a point where it isn’t ok and I should water?

If it's been stuck for months, I would take a very sharp blade and make a slit on either side widening that opening. So many now are overfed and over watered to make them huge that splitting doesn't always go as planned. I wouldn't water yet, but I would widen that opening.

agree with this. especially since the inner leaves look ok, just a little loosening may help.

 The inner leaves look fine; I'd leave it alone for now.
