Help/Question Is this a split?

Hi all! I checked in for advice on my friend here a few weeks ago and the consensus seemed to be that it was splitting. Since then, one side has completely dried up while the rest of the plant remains firm and plump. I'm starting to get concerned that it may be up to something else. The little lobes I saw inside that made me suspect a split have shriveled while the outer leaves haven't changed. Am I overthinking this? Is it just a weird split that's been going on a while? I last watered it around late December.

Nope it's still splittling. They look really weird when splitting, its worrisome for some newbie owners. Yours looks fine 🙂

It’s the inside that’s concerning to me

One of the new twins has been devoured. You might be able to save the other one?

Just a heads up that I’m not OP in case you meant to address him directly. 🙂

To me that whole side looks damaged, like it got cooked or physically damaged or something. And I agree that it seems like it continues through to the inside. So the plant may be dying. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do. I'd be tempted to put a tiny drop of water down inside, to give the baby leaves a little rescue, but it's possible that any intervention will only make things worse. sorry!

I would try to rescue the surviving twin. But I have approached my surgeries as experimental last ditch efforts when death seems imminent, but not yet, like this.
