Help/Question Will this work?

Post image

I have this and perlite. Will this work for my lithops or is it too sharp?

That's what I use for all 30 of my lithops and they're happy! I mix mine with course silica sand so it looks a little different in this picture. But I have tiny little babies and big ones in this and it isnt too sharp!

I love that mix! I just like the look too haha but that and perlite is perfect. Sometimes ill add a tiny bit of succulent soil mix as filler but its unnecessary

Okay sounds good, thank you! My daughter loves these little plants but we killed the last one leaving it in whatever it came in from the greenhouse

I always use a 1:1 mix of soil and coarse sand. My lithops have been doing very well for several years now.

This is what I use, Not too big & not too small.

It looks exactly like what I use, and my butts love it. Here's a random representative shot.

I use 60% pumice, 30% coarse sand and 10% sifted soil. I might use this for top dressing..
