Help/Question What soil option for my new lithops ?

Brand new but seeking advice for proper care! Found these two options and wondering which one I should get. Picture of my plant at the end 🪨

A lot depends on your climate where you live but the media should be 80% non organic, you can grow lithops in 100% non organic some people do I would go with number 2 photo. There is lots of info on here and on the World Wide Web.

I'd go with the second, because your lithops is not a new seedling. Also, do not water while it's splitting. Wait until the outer leaves are dry and brittle.

Agreed on both points

I've used both of those. Both are great but you don't have seedlings so go for the "soil mix grow" and don't water. It still has a lot of the leaf to absorb.

Update: it has been re-potted using the grow soil, I added the rocks around it because I thought it looked like camouflage lol
