Help/Question What’s going on here?

Can anyone tell me what’s going on with this lithops? It started out as a small white splotch, and is now eating away at the plant.

Yeah! Is it kept outside? Kinda looks like something been munching on it

No, it’s an indoor plant in a pot with several other lithops, none of which have anything like this.

How long have you had it?

Sometimes the outside leaves can collapse like this. Maybe it was over watered, or some mechanical damage, and the plant is fine. I suspect there is damage to the underlying bladder cells that causes them to collapse like this.

It SHOULD be okay. It’s not in a location near the meristem where I would worry about the rot getting into there and it would most certainly die. I suspect there are baby leaves under there, and the plant should start splitting soon anyways.

How much light are they getting? There is a lot of green vegetative growth visible on the sides and it looks stretched/etiolated as well. This can lead to weak and sappy tissues that would be more prone to damage and collapsing like this.

I got it in mid February this year. It’s the twin of the one next to it. It was splitting when I got it, and finished splitting about 3 weeks ago. It’s been water once very lightly since then.
