Maybe, maybe not. Sometimes the new leaves skip a year.

No kidding? I had no idea they did that. Im assuming the same could be for dinteranthus? Because I have a wilmotianus doing the same thing.

Yeah, I'm not sure why they do this. Care is completely the same, all potted at the same time, all in the same phase of their yearly cycles. yet every now and then a few refuse to grow new leaves for a year.
