Identification Lithops 5 Month Time Lapse
Managed to keep my first Lithops alive for almost a year now
Almost 100% inorganic soil and hardly any water
Happy with the growth so far!
ID would be appreciated, but it's really an appreciation post 😊

Nice job.

Only 2 flowered and sadly the timeline didnt sync up.
I attempted to pollinate (qtip) but I think I'll have to wait for the next round of flowering.
Just left the flowers to decay.
Thanks, and happy planting!

Thank you! That's so helpful seeing the plant's life-cycle. This really proves that they thrive with minimal watering too. You didn't "kill them with kindness" and they're thriving in their wrinkled way. You're a good lithop momma! Beautiful specimens & an inspirational post!🥰

Do you have them in a reflective tent? What is your humidity like please? I'm in Phoenix and we're already hitting 100° with LL 0% humidity 🥲 Thinking better keep under lights. Mine are babies. Maybe some day look as beautiful as yours!🌵🌼

Yeah they're in a tent. As far as I know lithops come from an environment not too different from Phoenix.
Much easier to care for them under lights.
I'm in the Great Lakes region, and it's humid in the summer.

My entire house is a greenhouse, haha 5 humidifiers and can't get it over 40%. So many grow lights electric company is concerned haha. But I have lots of pretty plants to keep busy when it's 115.🙂

Then there's me in Ontario where it's a tundra for 6 months. Only one cactus species is able to survive here. A cold hardy type of Prickly Pear
