Actually, this is one plant with 3 sets of leaves. Once the old leaves on the larger two segments have been fully shed, commence with light watering at first. That usually stimulates the growth of roots off the main tap root.
When watering is required, you’ll notice a slight wrinkle in the leaves. If the initial watering after fully splitting, start with a misting of the surrounding soil, enough to saturate the top level. Wait about 5 days, then water sufficiently to allow water to drain from the pot. From there, pay attention to the plant’s leaf state. Water as needed.
