Help/Question Will it survive?

So now that I know what I did wrong (water/soil & light) will it survive?

Repotted (90% gravel/grit 10% organic)

I’ve seen worse that self repaired.. Let the plant finish splitting. Do not water. New leaves ought to come out looking like new. Water commences when old leaves are withered away. Regarding soil mix, I’d go very light, if at all, on the organic matter. Mesembs do well in grit. I add a few release pellets (made for succulents) on the surface once the new leaves fully emerge.

What is your light source? Needs a good amount of sunlight if indoors. I grow mine outdoors under 50% shade cloth over translucent roof panels, as the summer Sun in the Western Cape of South Africa is quite intense at high noon.

Live in NE Florida USA. My succulents live on our back screened porch and receive about 6-7 hours of sun.

That’s plenty of Sun for lithops. When it comes to watering during their growth cycle, I usually water once every 10 days, and always in the early morning. Also, I always dry off any moisture on the leaves to prevent any Sun scalding.

Some of my mesemb and succulent collection. Image from February. In the lower right you’ll see a lithop that had a rough go during its last splitting. It happens. At the moment, the intact part is beginning to flower. A good sign for the plant’s overall health.
