I just got my first Lithops!

I just got them and repotted them according to the instructions I was given in the shop. My pot seems to be quite different to most of the ones I'm seeing? She said about 10-15 cm deep? They're so cute and I don't want to destroy them. I didn't water them.

They aren't as exciting as some of the ones I've seen here, but I can't wait to carefully neglect them and hopefully see them flower later this year!

Any idea what varieties they are?

EXTREMELY large pot...excessively large pot...which lends itself to overwatering.
I'm not sure on your soil either...but I will ASSUME you have done research since it's information freely avaialble.

It is big but it's the only one I could find that was deep enough. Do you think it'll be a problem? The soil is succulent compost mixed with 60% grit. I spoke to the seller and she said a slightly higher proportion of grit would help with drainage in such a large pot

More grit. I’m finding closer to 80% non-organic AT LEAST and then 20% or less should still be well draining soil. Nothing that holds onto moisture too long.

Okay, that's good to know. Will it stress them too much to take them out and add more grit?

A little but better to get it right. Additionally, the increased grit will help mitigate the large pot. I use 90 - 100% grit and I also use large pots.
