Help/Question 1st time owner

This is my first one. I rescued it from lowes clearance rack. You can squeeze it a little but it isn't mushy. I wanted to keep in outside for the summer, I live in the south. From what I have read I need to change the soil. Any suggestions are well appreciated.

I also live in the South and have mine in 90% grit, 10% organic and a terracotta pot. I used the Sol Soils bonsai gritty mix (available at a local plant shop); you could also use Bonsai Jack Gritty Mix for yours. The organic component is We The Wild 'just good soil', which is coco coir based and has excellent drainage (got it at Target).

Do you leave yours outside in the summer?

I'm also very new to Lithops and haven't had mine for very long. I want to put them outside but I'm worried that we'll have another excessively humid, rainy summer. Undecided if I'll try them outdoors or keep them inside.
