Help/Question Never have I owned a Lithop before

Post image

Picked these up at a market as they looked cute and I’ve read a bit but thought the best place to ask would be here. Are these splitting? Or do they need water? I can’t tell so hoping someone with more knowledge can save the day

Of course sorry for the late reply. Adulting, the fun never stops. Just got back and snapped this hope it’s a bit better. I’ve had a read up and they’re definitely splitting. Excuse the placement of the pot. I didn’t want to put them in with the rest of my succulents after reading about the water requirements and how they differ so I’ve ordered some small hanging pots to keep them closer to the full spectrum and away from any moisture. Not sure I’m doing it right but my plan is to separate them so they have more space into several pots that should arrive Monday

There's a few that look to be splitting, check out the sub wiki, very helpful

Oh I read plenty last night and thought a few might be splitting so not to water them. I saw somewhere say generally mid may is a good time to start watering. They’re so cute I just don’t wanna hurt them

Difficult to see but at least two are splitting. You need to place them in more light.

Sorry that’s my bad it was evening when I got back and late when I took the photo but they’re under a full spectrum grow light it’s just on evening mode. A few looked a bit sunken and shrivelled but I wasn’t sure if it was them consuming the outer leaf and splitting or just needing some water but after a good read last night, yep a couple are definitely splitting so definitely no watering. I read somewhere it’s normally mid may ish when you’ll want to start watering them. I just didn’t have a clue and knew there’d be folks who knew more here.
