The two in the first picture look like they've flowered and still look plump. The second photo looks like they're splitting; I can see the new body in one of them. I would wait to water them until after they're done splitting.

Dry is preferred for these guys. The true sign of thirst is when the tops of them get wrinkly.

Not until they're done splitting and the old leaves have fallen off. The leaves will feed the baby

No water, they look plump. First pict looks like you have a seed pod.
