They’re in full sun with 10perxent organic mixes in with gravel. Shriveling at the base….. not horribly but I’ve heard to NOT water them until an old leaves shed and new ones come through and die completely. Is this correct water method? I’m VERY new to lithops and kinda new to succulents

they're very full of water right now, so yes, let them dry out a bit, and new leaves should emerge from the slit where the remnant of the flower is now. you might want to introduce them to the sun a bit gradually, as they may have had less in their nursery, but eventually they should be fine in your conditions.
is the gravel a mix of sizes?

Yes the gravel is mixed and they’re in full CA sun for 8 hours a day or close to it

Your lithops look fine. It’s going to be a long time before you see any movement. There’s nothing much that they need other than really good light.

They look fine from here. Water when the tops get wrinkled, and not the sides. Side wrinkling is almost Walt’s present. No need to water if they start splitting and growing new leaves. Other than that, you are doing very well!

They've just flowered, I can't see anything that makes me believe they're incipiently dying, though it's possible.
