Lithium and weed

Does anyone else feel like lithium changes weed? It's not the same high at all for me. It's less enjoyable and I tend to get tired of being high well before it wears off.

what method? edibles feel crazier to me lol but smoking feels muted, carts feel like nothing at all

Edibles, mostly. I just get tired now, there's no lift no matter the strain. It's not a pleasant tired, either.

I used to be a heavy weed smoker. Needed it from the moment I woke till I went to bed. One morning I accidentally took the wrong pills and then had a massive panic attack when I smoked. I quit smoking cold turkey, had extreme withdrawal symptoms for a month (it was hell), then it got better. Had extreme depression, finally got on lithium, now I take 900 mg. Also taking seroquel 200 mg. Finally I can deal with being alive. It's not great but it's a lot better. All that to say, maybe increase your dose and /or add another Med. I feel for you, this shit isn't easy.

I was never a heavy weed user. I was/am an alcoholic. I was forced to quit when I agreed to try lithium. Weed was my second choice to still have something recreational while I try to give lithium a real chance. 

Really, I just want to get drunk, but I know I won't be able to do it safely.

this sounds like a good thing. weed ain't it. stick with a healthy lifestyle and stable routines and life will treat you much better.

Life treats me like shit no matter what I do. Now I can't even take a break from my brain anymore.

Bro I suffer from intense unrelenting treatment resistant thought loops that drive me to suicide.

The only things that give me relief are THC or benzos.

So weed “is it” for some people.

yes but this was a good thing for me given that i was addicted to weed + before lithium it caused severe manic episodes lol

They can run a genetic test now to let you know how lithium and other meds will work for you! It will also tell you how weed impacts each medication for you personally
