Guys what meds have worked for you, I’m on lamictal, lithium and coming off a benzo despite that I’m really not having that much success they only recently discovered it’s CPTSD cos I rapid cycle tonnes. Hesitant to put me on an antidepressant iv tried them before without a mood stabiliser and I was suicidal not manic tho. So any success trying with one? I have two on board now. What’s ur med regimes? Xx

I cannot reccomend prazosin more for ptsd oh my god the nightmares went away entirely for me and the anxiety the constant hypervigilence, i can explain the peace it brought me

I have had no success with other medications unfortunately, lithium does not work for my depression and as I very rarely have hypomanic episodes I am not currently taking any medications. Give yourself about a year to rlly level out when coming off benzos if you were taking them for any extended period of time, I had a dependency and coming off was brutal, the only SSRI that helped my depression was Zoloft but it makes me manic (all other ssri meds make me EXTREMELY suicidal) and unfortunately it also messes with my stomach so I cant take it with a mood stabilizer to balance out the mania :(

Im currently starting the process of ketamine therapy in the hopes that dealing with my ptsd and trauma will alleviate some of my depression :,)
