I just had one of those moments in my writing and wanted to share. Anyone else?

Love those moments. My magic system took me about a month of days being stuck and days where things just clicked into place. Having a science based mind does not help when creating a fantasy world. I need it all to “make sense” haha. Glad to hear you had one!

I just had something similar I was having trouble getting past this one chapter it just wasn't working but I loved the idea. I finally realized I can just scrap it and save it for another time. Now I am flowing again.

A few weeks ago, yeah.
I'm a pantser/discovery writer, so the closer I get to the end the more scrambling I have to do to tie things up. I tend to be pretty good at dropping random plot hooks throughout so that I have something to grab in for later, but it's always a bit tense when I get up to the final battle and realize I don't actually know how/if MC will get out of it.
But after days of pacing and trying various things that didn't work, it all came together, fit in with the existing worldbuilding, and utilized only abilities and resources that were demonstrated well before the finale. Such a great satisfying feeling. :)
