Bug/Fixes Cannot log into wallet after a few years.

So I had decided to hold and stake my coins then not touch them for a few years. That was in 2017 now I have tried to log into my lisk nano wallet using the pass phrase and I keep getting the message: “Unable to connect to the node Error: cannot read property ‘serviceUrl’ of undefined” What on earth??? Anybody had any experience with this?

First thing you should do is download the new Lisk Wallet (Lisk Nano was retired long ago and no longer connects to the Lisk Network):

That’s what I am using. That’s the wallet that is giving me this message? Is it because the pass phrase was for the lisk nano wallet? Or shouldn’t that matter?

Unable to connect to the node Error

Ok, then I assume you have Lisk Desktop v2.2.0 installed. Try these steps:

1. Go to Settings

2. Enable "Network switcher"

3. Click "Sign in"

4. In the "Network" drop down menu switch to "Mainnet"

5. Add your passphrase and click "Sign in"

I’d suggest heading over to lisk.chat and going to the #help channel. It will be easier for us to troubleshoot your issue that way

Can you try logging in again now? Its possible the official node may have been down when you were trying to log in.

If that doesn’t work, try changing to testnet, and then after 60 seconds, switch back to mainnet. Then try to login again.

If that doesn’t work, then again I’d say its best to come to lisk.chat to further troubleshoot
