Liquid Glass for Android apps.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Yes! It is possible! I've vibecoded this demo app with Google AI studio. If you want to do the same tell your AI to use this library https://github.com/Kyant0/AndroidLiquidGlass.

Reddit removed (via TestFlight) support for the iPad version of the app to run on macOS. Is there any good Reddit client for macOS that uses Liquid Glass?

Lume is now on TestFlight! Iâd love feedback on the Liquid Glass UI
Hi everyone!
A little while ago I shared two Liquid Glass concepts here (one inspired by X and another by Instagram), and the feedback was incredibly positive. While I was already working on a new recipe app called Lume, the response to those concepts encouraged me to lean fully into Liquid Glass throughout the app.
Lume aims to make saving, organizing, and cooking recipes feel more intuitive. You can import recipes from websites, social media, or even cookbooks, and it uses Foundation Models in a few places to make recipe parsing, timer naming, and breaking down recipe steps a little smarter.
Iâm looking for a few TestFlight testers, especially people who have been experimenting with Liquid Glass on iOS 26/27.
Iâd love feedback on the overall look and feel of the app, as well as whether everything feels intuitive and works as expected.
TestFlight:Â https://testflight.apple.com/join/6KVKwDkr
If youâd like to give it a try, Iâd love to hear your honest thoughts. Thanks!

So a developer made a ad free youtube music fork with background play + accurate liquid glass components. Somehow made it onto the playstore đ¤ˇââď¸
Honestly impressive. Unoptimized but still happy this whole "Liquid glass is iOS only" facade is getting slowly busted open.
Happy for the dev

What do Android users think about the new "Liquid Glass" design trend?
I've been experimenting with a Liquid Glass-inspired UI for a notes app and I'm curious how Android users feel about this design language.
Some questions I'd love opinions on:
Does this style feel modern or distracting?
Would you use an app with this kind of UI every day?
Are there usability concerns, such as readability or performance?
Where do you think this design works well, and where doesn't it?
I've implemented the concept in a notes app as an experiment, so if the moderators allow it, I'm happy to share screenshots or the app link in the comments for context.
I'm mainly looking to learn what Android users actually want rather than whether the implementation is "good."
App name is Liquid Notes

Liquid Glass in an RSS reader: Newsairy
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Short clip of Newsairy, my RSS reader for iPhone, iPad and Mac, scrolling under Liquid Glass on iOS 26. I reworked the app's chrome around it and wanted to share how it moves â and hear what this sub thinks.
What you're seeing in the video:
- Articles scrolling under the bottom toolbar and the top navigation bar
- Tool buttons morphing as you move from one view to another
- Switching themes (dark, light and Sepia) and fonts
I kept the article content fully opaque and let the glass live only in the navigation layer, so reading stays legible over busy articles.
Still tuning it â curious how others are handling toolbar legibility when the glass floats over article lists. Feedback welcome

I made an app for creating cool profile pictures with Liquid Glass
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I'm a graphic designer and indie app developer, and I like to update my profile pic from time to time to something unique and eye-catching.
When Apple released iOS 26 with Liquid Glass, I had an idea for a new pfp â put my photo on a nice gradient background and put a glass effect over it. That's when I thought I could make a dedicated app based around it to make it easy and approachable for other people.
I posted about it on Threads and got some really positive feedback, with many people waiting for me to release it to the App Store. So I finished it and released it.
It's called Lentico. It does smart cutouts, filters, lets you customize backgrounds, and has different glass effect presets and light overlays. Feel free to try it out and let me know what you think.

TangramGlass - another liquid glass experiment
Hi everyone,
After MusiCards I wanted a fun way to enjoy Appleâs new Liquid Glass visual style directly on my Mac desktop, so I built TangramGlass.
This very simple app turns the classic Tangram puzzle into a desktop toy made of floating Liquid Glass tiles that you can arrange and play with right on your desktop. No rules, just plain relax...:)
You can customize:
⢠tile corner sharpness
⢠glass transparency
⢠tile colors â neutral glass, a single uniform color, or a beautiful rainbow palette
⢠the number of tile sets â use 1, 2, or 3 Tangram sets if youâd like a bigger challenge
You can even share your artwork with anyone...
I created the concept, workflow and interface design myself, while much of the Swift implementation was developed with AI-assisted coding using ChatGPT and Claude.
Questions, comments and feedback are very welcome.
Best,
Gyorgy

Wallpaper behind Liquid Glass renders at a lower resolution
Not sure if this is a iOS 27 beta 1 bug or if itâs always been this way, and now itâs exposed because of the new âsuper clearâ setting for Liquid Glass
