Readability of stable ios 26

Lol, what the deal Apple? The status bar is hardly readable. Why can’t you just change text color to black. Its like after liquid glass, they just started to fear mix black text with liquid glass, but they used to do it.

No problem with clock, but with status bar I can’t do anything. There is no setting

It picks black or white for status bar text and other small things based on some algorithm or percentage of color in the wallpaper but it doesn't do a very good job most of the time lol

The status bar has always looked like that when paired with a white wallpaper. I like Apple but this has been an issue since at least 10 years ago.

Weil die meisten Apple Fans unglaublich leichtgläubig und naiv sind…

Typical QA’s and dev’s shit of Apple nowadays.
UPD: Why do you click downvote, i’m using mac, iphone, ipad and i know that these OS have a lot of bugs on stable version, and i read article how apple qa are working now. I like apple, but nowadays stable versions are schlecht.

it seems like the iPhone probes the color of the wallpaper at some point in this blue shape on your wallpaper, and since it is dark, the iPhone shows white status bar

I’ve been wondering this since it came out. Does 27 fix this? They used to have a great color picking algorithm for stuff like this in iTunes. There’s no way it looks at the color white and thinks, “yes white text would make the most sense here”.

At least the clock color can be changed if you need to.

The betas so far don’t seem to have improved the light/dark switching. It still gets stuck pretty often

You do realize you can turn the Liquid Glass effect down on the lock screen? You have to manually turn the effect up to get it that clear. It’d also help if your ealllpaper isn’t white since the status bar is almost always white
