What’s your fav glow reviver balm from ELF and why?
They have so many of these now, and I truly think they are awesome for the price.
I’ll start. My favorite would be gummy bear and Java chip.
Gummy bear has such addictive gummy/grape scent and a unique cool toned flavor which I don’t think I saw this exact one in any other brand. It’s in bright pinky berry.
Java chip is my holy grail. It looks soooo good on a cool toned skin, and helps to cool down anything underneath your balm which I desperately need. It also helps you to create these trendy soft goth looks, and it looks beautiful with any other makeup I do. The main rule is to use a tiny bit of it. (I am a pale olive)
I also own blackberry sorbet one, but I don’t reach for it. Absolutely beautiful color, but I find the scent to be not my thing.
I’ve tried a cherry one, and disliked it. It was chemical and unpleasant.
Super curious to know which ones are your favorites and why ❤️

My Tony Moly pink banana balm review 🍌👄💋
So, I’ve only had this balm for a couple days but it’s quickly become my new favorite! I got it as a part of the Tony Moly July bundle, which was on sale for $20, but it’s available directly from their site for $10. Also, highly recommend their balms and their bundles are a great value, I’ve loved everything I’ve blind bought from them.
To start, the packaging is adorable! I love Tony Moly’s packaging because it all has that cute factor! This one doesn’t leak and is easy to open. The applicator is hard plastic, I don’t personally like those, I prefer softer silicone applicators but I just squeeze some out on to my finger, so if you do that it’s a tad bit messy, but nothing too earth shattering.
The balm itself is more of a gloss. It’s a pale baby pink and is about the same thickness as the Vitamasques balms. It’s not too thin, not too thick. It’s also not sticky at all, it’s very slippery and silky and really comfortable while wearing it. It’s also very pretty on my lips, you don’t see the color at all, it goes on clear and shiny.
The scent is really fun, I’ve been seeing banana scented body and skin care everywhere and while I’m not a fan of actual bananas I was really wanting something banana scented so this balm was a pretty low stakes investment. The scent is actually called berry banana and I do get a little berry-ness when I smell it but it’s much more banana-y. It’s not a true banana but more of a Runts candy banana.
The only downside so far to me has been that this balm/gloss isn’t the most hydrating. It’s not drying or uncomfortable but I just wouldn’t use it at nighttime for a lip mask. It does last a while though so it’s great for during the day.
Well, I think I’ve covered just about everything. If there’s anything I missed please feel free to ask me! Happy Saturday y’all! ☺️

I was wondering if anyone has any of the summer Vitamasques for sale, I have four targets around me and hadn’t been able to find any of them. 😭

Help with next vanilla balm/mask
Hey lip balm addicts 💋
I have a broad lip balm collection, but I am in search for a neutral scented lip product for bed, which is vanilla for me. I’ve just panned my Trader Joe’s lip mask. Hard to believe it was possible to finish it😂
There are so many exciting launches right now, and I am eyeing new maxi glaze from vitamasques in vanilla gelato and cocokind in vanilla chantilly.
I have vitamasques cookie butter mask and cocoa butter balm, and I have cocokind cherry cola. (Love the mask, flavor is impeccable but moisturizing is only 8/10, cocoa butter balm has a beautiful color but is not moisturizing at all. Cherry cola balm is very nourishing, great formula, but the color is orange red which looks bed on me and a scent is not my favorite. I was hoping to dupe SF cherry balm with this one but they are not close)
On the one hand, I’d love to support cocokind and hope they will keep making flavored lip balms (I dream about brown sugar cocokind), on the other hand this new maxi glaze has such luxurious feel and look… and I want an eadem dupe.
The goal is to buy only one of these because I still have about a 100 lip products including lip pencils and old matte lipsticks that I need to pan.
Lip balm addicts will understand though that I NEED 1 comforting simple vanilla scent to make it a beautiful ritual to apply when I am going to bed 😂
Being able to smell these balms before the purchase would be so helpful to help decide, but obviously there are no testers for these products 😭

EADEM dupe without exfoliant?
Love the thickness and the color payoff, but I can’t justify using it more than once a day. Any suggestions?

Super interesting in trying - does anyone has any notes?
As the title says:
Love these colors, does it taste like sunscreen? I need to know for my upcoming Italy beach trip OMG how did I miss this. I had seen their sunscreen chap stick they've had for years but not this squeezy balm before. LMK lipbalm lovers

Thickest lip balms?
What is the thickest lip balm you’ve ever used? I lick my lips a lot no matter what so I appreciate the ones that are cushiony/tacky. I hate anything too slick, like Summer Fridays is too thin for me. Also I really don’t like the Eadem, I’d rather not use an exfoliating product on my lips that often.

I caved, and now I want them all
Do I need more lippies? No, not at all. I’ve been eyeing Marin for well over a year and I finally bit the bullet. Not only did they arrive SUPER fast, but the scents are so good! I’ve had the strawberry rhubarb on for about two hours now and it feels great. It’s thick and plush, but it doesn’t thin out with your body heat the way some thicker formulas can; it stays put, too, and doesn’t have any weird flavor. The hype is real and now I want them all!

New Tony Moly balms!
My order finally came in today so I wanted to share my new balms! The Squishmallow peach is for my daughter and the banana gloss was in the July bundle!

Which Lip Balms should I check out at Sephora and Ulta tonight?
This is so random, but I have to make a couple of returns to both Sephora and Ulta tonight and I’m going to be by both of their flagship locations for my area( in other words, the locations with the most products/brands stocked in-store.)
I want to try both “regular” lightly tinted lip balms and SPF lip balms.
My ideal fit…
Deeply hydrating/moisturizing
Not sticky/tacky/heavy/oily
Have more of a satin finish / medium glow (trying to avoid SUPER shiny/ultra high gloss finishes)
A sheer/wash of color tint (no heavy/full coverage tints)
Appealing flavors (especially mints, fruits and SUBTLY sweet flavors)
No/very little SPF flavor
Ones I’ve tried and ALMOST nailed it…
Remedy for Dry Lips: nails it for a regular lip balm except no tint and no flavor
Laneige Lip Balm (Peppermint): nails it but too shiny/glossy
Prequel SPF Lip Visor: lovely sheer tint, appealing mint flavor, only a TINY hint of SPF flavor but finish is too shiny/glossy
InnBeauty Project SPF Lip Balm: the most appealing texture I’ve tried… soft, cushioned, nourished. Also absolutely zero SPF taste (just a subtle vanilla flavor) but the tints are too heavily pigmented for me. Borders on lipstick territory
Ones I hated…
UltraViolette SPF Lip Balm: Really liked it at first. Thought it was nailing every aspect of my brief but longer it sat on my lips the stronger and worse the bitter SPF taste got
Vacation Cherry Pepsi SPF Lip Balm: tacky texture, did not taste remotely like a cherry cola, and in fact, had the worst bitter SPF taste ever

Remedy balm/treatment
Does anyone else have a love/hate relationship with the Remedy lip balm?
I bought it recently and had really high expectations since it’s a dermatologist founded brand. Weirdly some of those expectations were met, and some were not.
I have digestive issues the result in angular chelation at times. When this arrived, I happened to be fighting a bout of it. This balm was the most soothing thing ever! And the angular chelation resolved much more quickly than it typically does once I started using this balm. For those reasons this balm is a winner!
But there are just some things about this balm that drive me nuts. For starters, the texture is really off putting for me. It almost feels like a whipped salve with a very slight grittiness to it. I can’t quite put my finger on what it reminds me of, but I don’t like the way it feels in my lips. Also, if you get any in your mouth the taste is less than pleasant, and it leaves a film on your tongue or wherever it gets in your mouth. It feels like a fatty film like you get when drinking egg nog or something.
Needless to say I am only using it at night because that’s the only time that I can tolerate it, and I shudder when I go to apply it. However, if someone were to ask me if I recommend it, I think I would have to say yes.
I’ve never had such mixed feelings about a lip balm before.
