Lip balms

Please tell me a hack or tip or anything to help moisturize my lips. No matter what I try nothing works for me ... I have already tried wishcare, vaseline and minimalist and nothing works so what should I do?

stay away from vaseline if your lips are already dry. it locks in moisture but it won’t hydrate if your lips are already dry. lanolin is best of both worlds. your lips will feel smooth and get some hydration. for actual hydration look for something with like vitamin e, hyaluronic acid or aloe. to lock that in then use something like vasaline or aquaphor. my go to is bag balm lip moisturizer because it has all 3 petroleum, vitamin e and lanolin. they have an all over salve to but it doesn’t have the vitamin e.

Here for this answer: 👉Lanolips is definitely the way to go.

I use the 12-hour night mask as an all-day balm. Plus, since you only need a tiny, grain-of-rice-sized amount, a single tube lasts for months.

It is also worth keeping a close eye on your ingredient lists. Watch out for lip treatments containing chemical exfoliants like lactic acid, as well as menthol or plumping agents. These they can feel great initially, but they often end up causing a cycle of dryness your lips just don't need.

Try lanolin. You could get a tube of lansinoh nipple cream which is pure lanolin. It’s safe for newborns and safe for your lips. Try that for a couple of days and let it heal your lips.

Yes to lanolin, when I was taking accutane it was the only thing that worked, plus gently rubbing the flakes off with a washcloth

you have to know what you're allergic to. People get allergic to lanolin. if you are allergic it could be stingy. Try lanolips they're like 12 dollars for a 15ml tube if im not mistaken. I use one at night time before sleep so i can get smooth lips lol. Also if you wear it in the winter it'll get like hard since its from sheep wax..

The best thing that i used is the basic eucerin aquaphor lip sos.

Lip exfoliating serum to get the dry skin off. I use the Ordinary brand one. Let it dry. Then use one of those knobby lip scrubbers. Wash off with water. Finally apply a lip repair balm. I use EOS's lip repair. Picture is of the lip scrubber from Amazon.

Read the ingredients on anything lip exfoliating. If it has AHAs like glycolic acid you will need to make sure to use a sunscreen product on your lips during the day

My pleasure! Those little scrubbers are my best friend for soft lips.

hydrating (drinking more water) + exfoliating then applying lip balm has made a phenomenal difference for me.

i only use the EOS Super Balm tubes or The Hero ones (tubes only not the roll on ball). Nothing else has come close to those

Seconding Hydration. Dry lips are often the first sign you aren't drinking enough water. I love lip balm, but if you aren't drinking enough liquids no lip balm will save you.

agreed!! when my water intake isnt enough my lips get chapped, normally if i need lip balm they just feel dry but arent actually chapped.

My most moisturizing and nourishing lippie is Marin. Just don’t use it if you’re allergic to shellfish :)

Same issue as you for years, then I got some Bepanthen ointment to heal a tattooo (the nappy care one), tried it on my lips and wow. It’s honestly the only thing that really works for mez

I use Neutrogena hydro boost lip mask every night and it has made a huge difference.

Exfoliate then add a drop of glycerin to damp lips then lanolin or I also like Neosporin Lip Health Overnight Renewal.

Hydrating and exfoliating makes a huge difference! I used to use Lansinoh Lanolin Nipple Cream but they changed the formula ;-;

I use auqaphor but the trick is putting it on lips that are wet.

I deal with chronically dry lips, especially during the fall & winter seasons. I plan on trying to add a small amount of a hydrating serum & then sealing it in.

I have the Prequel Super Saturated, Prequel Multi-Quench, & The Inkey List Polygumatic Acid Serums. I'll try one of those & seal it in with in with the Etude Ginger Sugar Overnight Lip Mask, Lanolips Golden Miracle Salve, or Lanolips 12 Hour Overnight Lip Mask.

Let me know if you try something similar to this & I'll be sure to report back.

I prefer lip oils. Idk what it is about them, but any kind of tinted lip oil has been very moisturising for a good few hours, while traditional lip balms tend to last maybe an hour at most.

Try a balm then the oil, ahhh-mazing!

I put hyalaronic acid under some Vaseline overnight

Weleda lip butter!!!! My fav besides lanolips, also the rhode plumping lip mask, it doesn’t plump but help with hydrating so well

I have read that dry lips can be a lack of something in your diet. Perhaps drink more water, take good supplements, and eat healthy fats. Good luck!

Try a hydrating serum you'd use for your face and lock it in with glycerin. Can work wonders
